The genesis of Maison Surya Mathew

Since his childhood in India, Surya Mathew has dreamed of establishing his own House in Paris’s Montorgueil district, the historic heart of luxury jewelry.
He began alone, in a small workshop, where he crafted one-of-a-kind pieces for private clients.

At the same time, he set about creating the Surya Mathew House in a space shaped by master artisans. This space opened in 2024 after two years of restoration. Today, it houses both the Workshop and the Showroom.

The Franco-Indian bonds

Surya Mathew

Founder of the brand & Master Jeweler

Surya Mathew, a 26-year-old Franco-Indian Master Jeweler, fuses two worlds in his Sacred Art High Jewelry creations.

He combines the heritage of India’s ancestral techniques, which he was introduced to at a very young age, with the French artisanal excellence he learned at the Haute École de Joaillerie de Paris and several houses on Place Vendôme.

This dual training and dual culture fuel his unique vision of luxury, and it is this expertise and artistry that he passes on to the jewelers in his workshop.

Here, everyone brings their own sensitivity and expertise—and it is through this synergy that excellence is born.
